Things have been a bit quiet here on the blog lately. A combination of summer, travel, work and relations have kept the band busy. And we simply needed a break from gigging and recording for a while. And we had been playing the same songs for ages, and needed new material.
Now it is time to start things up again. The band has been rehearsing pretty much the whole time so we are better than ever. In November we’ll record a maxi with Mattias Johansson. Right now it looks as though Simon Vikokel will be mixing. So if things go well, you’ll have another Golden Rocket Pony record for the winter holidays!
What about concerts? Will I be able to see the band live anytime soon within this century? We’re have started working on it. At the moment we’re throwing around ideas about setting up our own party this winter and invite loads of people. A nice combination of playing parties and the occasional rock club in Malmö seems like the way forward.
More info soon… Y’all come back with your RSS readers ya hear!

This photo was taken by Vivi during the first song of the Banco gig, before Mighty Otto and Malena got on stage. Just the lonely GRP boys doing Steve is About to Blow.

Playing “Molly” live for the first time. It is one of the new songs written after the recording of Bocadillo. Featuring Otto on harmonica and Malena singing beautiful backup vocals. Nella Roos is holding the camera.

On February 26th, Golden Rocket Pony will play live with Otto on harmonica, at Blå Båten here in Malmö. Bring your own drinks and food, and have a picnic with us! Admission is 100kr and they can fit a hundred people into the lovely cargo boat from 1888.

- Are you going to Larsby’s midsummer bash in Södra Rörum?
- Want to see what a golden drum kit looks like?
- Want to hear a Marshall used as a Fender?
- Wondering what the real height difference is between Christian and Big J?
Then do nothing! Our little band will be playing on stage in the great tent, along side ridiculous amount of expensive techno audio equipment. See you on Friday!
